REC NEWSFLASH

By Mary Swank in Trinity Lutheran School 30 minutes ago | 7 views Link: https://goo.gl/Y5wWh4

Fines have been lowered to .10 a day—hopefully this will make it more possible for students to be responsible for paying fines from their own money.

Emails should once again be coming out to parents—to let you know of upcoming due dates, overdue books, and unpaid fines.

Birthday/Baptism Book Club is starting in 2 weeks. To donate a book to the REC in remembrance of your child’s special day, return the form ASAP if you wish to participate.

Boxtops for Education—send in all year, please.

Campbell’s UPC’s with Labels for Education logo—send in until Dec. 20.

SCHOOL PORTRAITS

Color Portraits will be here Thursday, September 7th to take this year’s school portraits of all students and Trinity staff.

Order forms were sent home (extra copies available on the wall outside the school office) this week.  Please be sure to send these back to your student’s homeroom teacher by Wednesday, September 6th with your payment.  If you place your order online, please note “paid online” on your child’s form in the “Total Enclosed” box.

SPIRIT WEAR DRESS CODE CLARIFICATION

Dear Trinity Families,

We would like to provide clarification on our spirit wear dress code for those of you with questions.

Every Friday is “Spirit Day” where students are allowed to wear any Trinity/tiger SHIRT, including solid Orange, Black, or White.  The only bottoms allowed are jeans or regular dress bottoms (uniform).

PLEASE NOTEThe Trinity flannel pajama pants are not for every Friday. These would be special items for “Flare” days, or special dress days we have through-out the year.  Announcements will be included in newsletters by teachers in your homeroom City groups notifying you of the upcoming special day.

Questions have also been asked about the Yoga jacket with the Trinity Logo that the PTL is selling.  The decision was made to treat the Yoga jacket the same as the fleece jacket as stated in the handbook (pages 24 – 26).  If it has the small Trinity Logo ONLY on the FRONT, it is acceptable.  Although with the big bling on the back, it is acceptable to wear ONLY ON FRIDAYS.  HOWEVER, just like anything else, if it becomes a distraction to learning, students may be asked to remove it at the discretion of the teacher or a staff member.

The Elementary School Ministry (ESM) will be working with the PTL to approve and design some items that could be worn in the classroom without jeopardizing the safety of students, or to the distraction of others.

We apologize for any confusion regarding spirit wear day attire. Please contact Mrs. Koenig directly at dawn.koenig@trinityroselle.com if you have further questions.

MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL & CROSS COUNTRY SCHEDULES

Both our Cross Country and Volleyball teams begin this week for our Middle school students!
