KOENIG CORNER

The further we get into the ‘Spring’ the harder it seems to get places on time, especially school. Coming late to school causes hardship for the teacher and the child. Here are three things that you can do to help your child and (you) get to school on time.

  1. Plan – The night before take a few minutes to plan for the next day. Packing backpacks, making lunch, have things ready to walk out the door.

  2. Prioritize – Schedule appointments at the very end of the day or after school is over. Plan vacations during scheduled break time minimizing make-up frustrations.

  3. Practice – Each day is an opportunity to practice these skills. The more you are successful, the easier it will become.

Growing alongside you,

Dawn Koenig

Registration is now open – just click here.

As part of Grandparents’ Day, Trinity Roselle Foundation will sponsor a continental breakfast from Panera in the morning – it’ll be a great opportunity to have some casual conversation with your grandchild.
Also, the Lutheran Church Extension Fund is offering an opportunity to start up a savings account for your child or grandchild during Grandparents’ Day. To commemorate this special day, Trinity Roselle Foundation will add a matching gift of $25 to the account when you open a Young Investors StewardAccount™ with an initial investment of $25 or more.
Grandparents/Special People day is a half day dismissal for students. Please be sure that your student knows who they will be leaving with.  PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO EXTENDED CARE.

We are still looking for students in grades 5-8 who would like to share their talents with the school and their grandparents on Grandparents’ Day.  These “acts” can be solos, duets, trios or any other combination.  Auditions will be held this Tuesday and Wednesday after school from 3:30-4:30 in the church.  Mrs. Berdis and Mrs. Cillick will be holding these auditions.  Please email either teacher with any questions you might have regarding the Extravaganza.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

TRINITY
SHOW & TELL
INVITE A FRIEND!
Every Wednesday and Thursday morning between 9 – 11 a.m. during the months of February and March, Trinity Lutheran School is opening the doors for tours of our facility to new families interested in sending their children.
We are currently looking for advocates that would like to serve as “tour guides”. This position would include meeting new people, telling your Trinity stories, answering questions and walking families around the school showing our classrooms in progress. To volunteer, you need not be a parent of a current student – just someone who loves Trinity!  If you, or someone you know, would be interested in filling this role, please contact the school office or Mrs. Koenig as soon as possible.
Why not invite a friend? Flyers are available at the front desk or through the school office.

TRINITY AUCTION
Saturday, March 11, 2017
20 DAYS UNTIL THE
The Tiger Ball”
Be sure to send your RSVP in or register online as soon as possible!  Auction donations are due by THIS Friday, February 24th!
Although time is very limited, we are still welcoming donations of an item or two for the auction. Some of the needed items include Restaurant gift cards, 6 packs of beer, bottles of your favorite wine…use your imagination – the sky is the limit and no item is ever too small (or too big)! Perhaps your company would like to donate? Just stop in or email the school office and we will be happy to send you a donor letter and form (or feel free to print from the links provided).  Donations should be dropped in the school office.
We can also use assistance behind the scenes with pick up of donated items, administration for the event, putting baskets together….the list is endless!

SHARE YOUR PRAYERS –
A Weekly Prayer Guide
From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise.
Psalm 8:2
I praise you, God, for You have given life to my child. I see reflected the light of the Hold Spirit within this child as she/he plays, cries, laughs, and coos. Continue to walk with both of us. Our days are not perfect, but we carry Your love with us one day at a time. We cannot endure without Your guidance and patience. Forgive me when I fail to seek Your plans because of the challenges each day brings. Help me to walk through each day, remembering Your grace that You grant to both my child and me. Through my smile, kisses, and hugs help me to always show Your love to him/her in my actions. Please help me to provide a home for my child that encourages faith, hope, and love. In Your precious Son’s name. Amen.
This week we prayer for our 4th grade class – the students, families and Mrs. Cillick and Miss Longman. Please let us know if there is something specific we can pray for.
If you would like a member of our Pastoral Care team to call on you, please call our church office and we will be happy to put you in touch with someone.  Be assured, all correspondence and communications are, and will continue to be, kept in the strictest of confidence.
